Online School

When COVID hit they sent the kids home to do virtual learning. This was not an easy thing for the teachers, students or parents. The teachers did the best they could and so did we at home, but the kids did not get as good of an education as if they were in school learning. I am impressed with how well their teachers did for just having this thrown at them, but it still was not good. 

Step 1: Pick up Chrome Books and all other school supply's from the school. 

Step 2: Once a week the school bus brought us any assignments that could not be done on the computer. 

Step 3: Ethan and James had morning meetings everyday. Sometimes they had to do online presentations. Graces teacher had one on one meetings with her and a few class meetings and small group meetings. Grace also did speech one a week. They also had assignments do do on the commuter and paper assignments everyday. These assignments were from their classroom teacher, reading group teachers, PE teacher, computer lab teacher, and music teacher. Gavin's teacher only sent home paper packets to do for Preschool, but her was already in a online preschool as well. I also supplemented his preschool. 

Because we could not be in school for teacher appreciation week we made gifts to drop off, decorated our car and joined in a fun parade past the school to say thanks for all you do for us.  

Also, the kids were not the only ones home on the commuter. Jeremy got sent home to work. So thankful he has a job that allows him to work virtually.
