Happy Birthday Gavin

Gavin has been waiting to have a friend birthday party forever!!! and the day finally came. He wanted a batman birthday party and invited all of the kids from his kindergarten class and a few extra friends from church. Not everyone made it, but we had a big party.

Side note: Jeremy fell skiing and ended up having an MRI scheduled for 7 am on the morning of the party. I was so worried we would not get back in time for Gavin's 10 am party, but despite the really bad weather we made it in time. and the party went on. 

We started out by painting bat pictures.

then used paper airplanes to knock down batman villains. 

We played a game where we had to see who could find the batman villain the quickest and shoot them with silly string. 

Gavin's friends were so genera's and he got a lot of great gifts. Gavin is so fun to watch open gifts. He is so happy no matter what it is and says thank you. and that it is just what he wanted or that he loves it or how cool it is. Even Kelsey Hanson a mom of one of Gavin's friends who stayed to help commented on how great he was at opening gifts and making everyone feel like they had given him the best gifts.

After gifts we had pizza, and sang happy birthday followed by batman cupcakes. 

We finished off the party with a piñata and letting the kids play until their parents came. I think Gavin had a fun party.
