4th of July

This is the first time that Jeremy and I have spent the 4th of July in Lava with my family. It was such a nice weekend. Very relaxing! Jeremy had Friday off, so we slept in as best we could with Ethan's internal alarm clock then did a little shopping.
We got to my parents house in the early afternoon. After lunch we took Ethan outside to play in his swimming pool. He was not in love with it. He kept getting out and going after Scooter (my parents dog). He also liked the horses. Ethan played on the tramp for the first time, and try and he might he could only get it to move a little. He is such a feather weight.
My sister Tami gave us a tour of the Sunken Gardens were she works. It is always a place I like to be.
My family headed over to Soda to watch the 4th of July parade. We were at the end, so not as much candy, but Ethan did get some and he really like the Tootsie rolls. He would not pick up the candy, but he would try to pick up the rocks on the street. I know I have a lot to teach this kid.
That night we roasted hot dogs over the fire and made s' moors. I hot dog has never tasted so good. Oh and Ethan played on the tramp again. He loves it even though he really can't bounce very well. He would fall down just for fun. Then laugh.
The day ended with us setting of a few small fire works and watching the Lava fire work show. It is not a big show, but it was still good.
We love this land and are proud to be Americans. We give thanks for all of those people who have sacrificed and for those who continue to sacrifice so that we can have so many freedoms. It is nice to have a day to stop and look at how blessed we are to live in the USA. We hope the holiday was good for you and your family's too.

It looks like you guys had a blast! Don't worry; Ethan will grow big soon enough. Enjoy the time that he is so small that it's not hard to carry him around everywhere. He sure is a cutie!
