No, we have not stopped living for the last 21 days, but life has slowed down a bit for us. No major trips, or anything like that. We have just been enjoying our last month of being a family of three before this baby gets here. I think there are a few things worth documenting, but I don't know if they make a blog post by themselves, so I am going to try and put them all together.
August 13th-15th - Jeremy had the opportunity to go to youth conference with his deacons on Friday the thirteenth. He seemed to have fun giving service by painting the grandstand at the Jefferson fair grounds. Then they enjoyed games, dinner, a magic show and a music group until late that night. The rest of the weekend was relaxed for us. We had a picnic in the park by the fair grounds and saw what they had done for service. Ethan liked playing on the toys and like always he had to leave kicking and screaming because he was not ready to go. Sunday Ethan found how he loves to play with the hose and we had our own family water fight. (I know not a good Sunday activity, but we did it as a family). He also played in his swimming pool. Mostly I just wanted to document how nice it was to just be together as a family and have fun.
August 19th - Ethan's friend Micheal turned two and invited us to go see Toy Story 3. I was a little worried because Ethan has not done so well in movies before. They only had 3D glasses for adults, so some parts of the movie were a little fuzzy for him, but he sat through the whole show. That night after Jeremy got home we went over to Micheal's for cake and ice cream, and to give Micheal a birthday present. We had to leave the party kicking and screaming once again because Ethan was not ready to leave. (I know we really need to work on this. If anyone has ideas on how to get a two year old to leave when he is having lots of fun let me know).
August 21st - It was Tautphaus Parks 75th birthday on Saturday and they had lots of activity's going on. We invited Jeremy's nephew's, niece, and his parents up to play with us. Everyone got into the zoo for 75 cents and we spent a lot of time there. This year Ethan really liked the animals and was excited to see them, but he did get really hot. They gave us a free zoo cup and animals crackers when we left.
Then we went to fun land where they had tickets for 75 cents each. Ethan road on the train twice, once by himself (he looked so lonely) and once with his cousin Anna. He also got to ride the carasel. We had lunch in the park, thanks to Neil for buying us all chicken. We then called it a day. Lots of fun, but it was a hot day.
August 22nd - Jeremy's cousin Heidi invited us over to have a BBQ at her house. His parents, Sister Wendy and her family, sister Michele, and cousin Mitzi and her family also came. It rained, so we ended up inside, but it was still fun to see his cousins and visit with them. Ethan always enjoys playing with other kids.
August 26th - My whole family got together again at the Idaho Falls Temple to do the rest of our family sealing. We were able to do sealing for about an hour and a half and got them all done. It was so nice to be in the temple with all of my family except for my sister Tami and Ethan. Thanks to Tami for watching Ethan and for doing all the family history work, so we could have this amazing experience. We then enjoyed dinner thanks to my parents at Sheri's Restaurant.
August 28th - Jeremy had his company picnic. It was cold and rainy, but the food was really good and the home we had it at was amazing. There were lots of toys to play on and mazes through the bushes. Ethan loved this really big slide. He mostly liked to roll his ball down it, but he did go down a few times with Jeremy and even by himself twice. We are so thankful for the great company that Jeremy has the opertunity to work for. They are all really good people and it makes it a really good atmosphere to work in.
August 29th - Last but not least in the last 21 days. Ethan got a new cousin when Jeremy's sister Wendy had her fifth child. A little boy that they named Carter David Lee. He was actually born on the twenty fifth of August, but we did not make it down to Pocatello to see him until the 29th. I don't know how interested Ethan was in Carter, but at least he was soft and did not hurt him. I can't believe how small new babies are! It makes me a little nerves to have this baby. I think I have forgotten all about new born babies. Anyway we are really happy for David and Wendy and glad everything went well.
I am glad most of my big belly will go away when I have the baby. It can be a little tricky to hold a baby with a 37 week big belly.

I always enjoy your posts- isn't it crazy how busy life is even without huge family vacations to keep us busy, Thanks for coming down it was nice to visit, i can't wait for your little one.
Looks like you guys are having fun!!! About getting a two year old to leave places. Willem doesn't throw a fit if we make a big point of saying bye to where we are. Like if we are at the library looking at the fish and it's time to leave, we make a big deal and say tell the fishes bye and see ya and he walks off no problem. Maybe something like that would help?

I think throwing fits is inevitable but you could try this. You get an egg timer. You can get a fancy one or just a simple one. Give him a cue before you go so he can get prepared. Tell him "We are leaving in 5 min or 3 min or whatever. When your timer beeps its time to go." then you can let him keep it or put it out where he can hear it. After a while he won't need the timer just the verbal reminder - you have 5 min.
