October 28th was Ethan's first ever primary program. The day before they had practice for the program, but it did not go so well for Ethan. Jeremy dropped him off and took him in. Not too long after Jeremy got back home we got a call saying Ethan had thrown up, (Thankfully in the bathroom), and we needed to come get him. I felt really bad for Ethan and for his primary president who was taking care of him.
Ethan felt better by Sunday, so off we went to church. The first part of the program went really well. Ethan and one other Sunbeam were the only ones to say their part all by themselves. We were so proud to watch him wait his turn then stand up and clearly say "The prophet teaches us to be kind to others." Then he walked right back to his seat.
After that things went down hill. Ethan was wondering around the stand. When his teacher told him to sit down he laid on the ground for the rest of the program, and finally crawled away from his teacher at the end. Jeremy and I were embarrassed. Needless to say he had to apologize to his primary teacher for not listening and crawling around.
We did get lot of compliments on how well he did his part and that he was fun to watch. It is always fun to watch when it is not your kid. I would have thought it was funny if it was not my son doing it. Oh well, he was a rock star when it came to saying his part and we have a year to teach him to sit still. Especially when you are up in front of the whole ward.

Love it, and wish we could have been there. Good Job Ethan on your part, an hour is a long time to sit still on the stand, I worry about Cody in a couple weeks (even Tanner has a hard time with this.)I tried to watch the video of his part but it said, "This video is private.
