Our elementary put on a fun literacy night. We wrote letters to Santa then mailed them in him his magic mail box. We made ornaments. Visited with Santa clause. The teachers gave the kids a new book and walked around talking to parents handing out pamphlets about reading. We had hot chocolate and cookies. The librarian had a used book sale and we also had story time when each grades teacher took turns reading books.
