A Forever Family

My Grandpa Avery passed away just over a year ago, and this last Saturday we were able to go to the Logan, Utah temple to have his work done for him.

Thanks to my sister Tami for taking care of Ethan so Jeremy and I could be in the temple with most of our family. Tami took Ethan and my little cousins to the zoo for part of the time and she said Ethan really liked the ducks.

My uncle George and his wife took my Grandma Avery early so she could do the paper work and he was able to do the initiatory for my Grandpa. Then We all went through the endowment session with my dad action as proxy for my Grandpa. We all took through family names that my sister Tami has been working on. After the endowment we all went up the the sealing room. (Side note it is the only room in the Logan temple that was not redone when the temple was renovated, and it was the sealing room the President Hinckley always requested when he came to do sealings.) My uncle Norman acted as proxy for my grandpa as my grandparents were sealed together for time and all eternity. Then my brother Jakob acted for my grandpa when my dad and two brothers were sealed to my grandma and grandpa. Jeremy and I got to act as my great grandma and grandpa Waters when my grandma was sealed to her parents. And my grandpa was also sealed to his parents.

It is such a great feeling to be in the temple with your family here on earth and know that your family in heaven is so close. I could tell that my dad maybe more than even me was so filled with joy because he has been waiting for this day for a long time as his family has slowly come around.
This is a group photo of our family we are missing my brother Kyle who is serving a mission in Mexico, my step cousin Madison who was with her dad for the weekend, and my Aunt Janean, Uncle Vaughn and cousin Chelsae (That is a long story and they part that added a little bit of sadness to such a great day).
