Dear Family & Friends,
We hope you are all happy and
healthy as this crazy year comes to an end. We feel like COVID kind of threw us
for a loop. The kids and Jeremy have been at home with school and work a lot.
We have canceled vacations and missed out on many other opportunities. Besides
COVID trials both Heather’s Grandma Neibaur and Grandma Avery passes away this
year. As well as our beloved family dog Cowboy.
Thankfully, it has not all gone badly
we have loved extra time with family. We even managed one trip to see Capitol
Reef, Bryce Canyon, Zions and The Grand Canyon. We have also been blessed with
good health despite the pandemic. Above all, we have the Gospel of Jesus Christ
to give us hope.
Here is a little update on the members of
our family.
Jeremy is working at Stukent in Idaho Falls. He is a product
manager there. He gets to be a youth leader working with the Deacons (12 &
13 year old boys) in our church. Plus picks up all the slack at home and holds
our family together.
Heather is so grateful to be a stay at home mom as COVID has sent
the kids home to do school way too often. This makes her a stay at home teacher
and tech support for online classes as well. She has just been called to serve
as the secretary of the Relief Society (Women’s Organization) in our church.
Ethan is now 12 years old and in preteen mode. Heaven help us! Just
kidding! He is a great kid. He is in 6th grade and a member of the
student council. It is his last year in elementary. He is really starting to
play the piano well and just started to play the Alto Saxophone. He loves
playing basketball, baseball, and football. When not playing sports he loves
card/board games. He is also an avid reader. Ethan is the 1st
councilor in the Deacons quorum presidency (church youth group for boys age
12-13).
James is 10 years old and in 4th grade. He continues to
improve his skills at the piano and has found his passion for reading. James
loves to swim and passed his last year of swim lessons this summer. He likes to
play football, basketball and baseball. He loves video games and is amazingly
good at them. James is the champion of the underdog and friends with everyone.
Grace turned 8 years old and was baptized a member of the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loves school and her friends. She was so
sad that COVID cut her gymnastic classes short for the year. This girl is
creative and independent. This combination brings some big messes. She enjoyed
playing baseball and taking swimming lessons. She has started playing the
piano.
Gavin is 5 years old. He is energetic and wild and tests my patience
multiple times a day. He is also full of hugs, kisses and I love you’s so we
have a balance. He enjoyed playing T-ball this year and taking swim lessons. He
is following after James and loves video games. Mostly he likes playing with
his friends. He has started kindergarten this year.
Hyrum is now 2 years old. Time is flying and just won’t slow down.
He does his best to keep up with his older siblings. He is getting quite the
personality and lets you know what he likes and does not like. To say this kid
is spoiled is an understatement. When COVID allows the older kids to go to
school it is just him and mom for half a day at home.
We know our Heavenly Father is
mindful of us and knows what is going on in our lives. We are grateful that
Heavenly Father chose to send his only begotten son to earth as a baby in a
manger to teach us how to live. Christ made it possible to return to our
Heavenly Father again because of his attornment in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Christ gave his life on the Cross. Christ rose from the tomb and overcame
death. This is the reason we are celebrating Christmas each year. We celebrate
in the years that are good and the years that are hard, because He is with us
every year and every day. Merry Christmas!
