My friend Stephanie Anderson and her kids Ryker, Ty and Cole invited us along on a little adventure along with Rhonda Brown and two of her kids Sadler & Kyndric, Sharri Helm, and two of her kids Rylee and Haddi and Diana Escabar and her kids Matthew and Mia. We drove up to Meadow Lake up by Stanley. It is a long drive to get there and Diana almost ran out of gas before we even got there. Rhonda drove into Stanley to get her gas and the rest of us put Diana and the kids in our vehicles. We left Diana's car behind and continued on to the lake. The road up to the Lake was very steep, rutty, and narrow. I was very worried that I would mess up my van. It was definitely a road that needed a big truck.
The Lake was beautiful and the kids were very ready for lunch. We tried to take a hike up to the peak above the lake, but took a wrong turn and only did a mile loop. The kids were ready to get in the lake, so we did not ever take the original hike we had planned.
We all enjoyed kayaking in the lake until it was time to make the long drive home. We stopped to fill up Dianas car with gas and made it back home where it was raining.
